Momma's Little Helper

Every time Niki gets out the vacuum to clean, Nya always starts saying, "Vacuum! Help?"  Of course being the selfless parents that we are, we get out her little toy "vacuum" and let her start training to take over the chores helping and playing...  I'm not sure how long this will last but lets hope it's until she moves out of the house!  And today Niki needs all the help she can get.  I woke up at 3:30 coughing and tried to clear my throat only to find that my voice was completely gone.  Well, I could whisper but talking wasn't really happening.  Today I'm lying low and hopefully I'll be back in the game tomorrow.

Winter's Welcome Here!

It's that time of year again, and we're ready for it! We've been out in the snow a couple times now and we even went sledding behind our house. Of course I managed to accidently delete some of the best pictures that we'd taken, so I'm at least getting these up before I make them mysteriously vanish also... Things in the Schemanski household have been going good. Nya seems to be hitting the "terrible two's" a little early. We've been hearing more "no's" and today she even tried staring Niki down when she was told to put away her toys. But even that being said she really is a joy; we're just having to be very intentional with our parenting and we're continually praying for patience and wisdom. It sure makes you appreciate your own parents more. Thanks mom and dad!

Pulled Over

Picture for effect only, I don't think we have roads like that in Kenai.

I got pulled over this morning... I was in town on my way to work at 5:10am and forgot to switch off my high beams. Apparently that's an indicator of intoxication. Intoxicated I wasn't, sleepy I was. Let that be a warning to you all.

Family Fall Foto's

This last week we had a combined birthday party for my sister and Niki and while the family was over we took some fall pics.  Although I don't have a fancy camera like my blogging buddies, we were able to snag a couple decent pictures, and a couple, well...lets say fun pics.
